Kathy's Just Desserts, Inc. in the East Norriton/Blue Bell, PA area was founded in October 2001 by Kathy Wolper. There are two facets to Kathy’s Just Desserts, Inc. - Kathy's Just Desserts and Kitchen Wizards.
KATHY'S JUST DESSERTS
Our home-based bakery has a kitchen that is certified by the Department of Agriculture. We bake breakfast sweets trays, cookie trays, bars and brownies, special occasion and wedding cakes, now featuring all sorts of detailed decor by our talented cake icer/decorator, and we will work with your florist to add fresh flowers to your wedding cake. Become a fan of Kathy's Just Desserts on Facebook www.facebook.com/kjdesserts - and see some of the beautiful work our decorators have done for customers.
Kathy's Just Desserts offers fresh, made-to-order pastries, cakes, and cookies. Customers who purchase our baked goods and candies can be sure that they are receiving a quality product. Our baked goods taste great, and this only comes from using the finest ingredients. The pastries, cakes, and cookies we create are made without preservatives and taste as rich as the butter, chocolate, and nuts we use in our recipes. Customers like our baked goods because they are tried-and-true recipes - goodies with which they are familiar - but they have a different twist, which makes them intriguing. All of our wedding cakes are custom-designed by Kathy and the bride-to-be.
Under the name Kitchen Wizards, we also conduct culinary enrichment programs. Our programs help kids of all ages to discover the magic of cooking, one bite at a time! We offer “Sweets” and “Supper Club” classes and summertime “Cooking Camps”, Scout workshops, and candy making birthday parties for children. For adults, there are “Sweets”, “Hors D’Oeuvres and Dips”, and “Supper Club” classes. Click here for complete details and registration information. Become a fan of Kitchen Wizards on Facebook, and view a gallery of photos of kids having fun and learning about cooking, too - www.facebook.com/kitchenwizards.
Our culinary enrichment programs are not held at our location, but are held for groups, such at your location. Some examples of where we conduct programs:
- Scout workshops
- After-school/Saturday programs
- Adult evening schools (Community Education programs)
- Church groups
- In-home birthday parties
Students attending Kitchen Wizards' programs learn a skill that will last their whole lives through. This is a skill that can be shared with other family members. This is a time, in our country, when families and "the simple things" are becoming more important. Cooking, baking, and candy making classes enable students to do things that will bring the family closer.
Parents want their children to attend these programs so that they can learn some skills that, perhaps, their parents either don’t know or don’t have the time in their busy schedules to teach their children. Children want to attend Kitchen Wizards programs because they have fun and what they produce tastes so good. Even the pickiest eater has been known to try new foods at a Kitchen Wizards cooking program!
Adults seeking a fun and tasty evening activity will enjoy our cooking, candy making, and baking programs. There is something very rewarding about seeing tangible results at the end of a lesson. These classes can easily adapt to parent/child classes, as well.
Kitchen Wizards' culinary programs encourage creativity, patience, and listening skills. Students also learn to take pride in their work.
Since the programs are small enough for hands-on, the students can practice their skills while under a Kitchen Wizards' staff's supervision. If they need assistance, our "foodie" instructors are there to help. Students taste samples of their goodies at the end of each program and bring home the recipes that will help them reproduce these culinary delights.
